Nordquisdt joined the history department at Pacific Lutheran University in 1963 and has taught and written about early modern Europe, Lutheranism and Lutheran higher education for 42 years.  This Festschrift (a collection of writings published in honor of a scholar) celebrates Nordquist's many contributions to academic life within the University and honors his formative influence on a generation of students who are now working as professional academics.
